Critical Thinking Artifact

In this project, we had to find resources that fall into four main categories that we would want to use if we were to teach our future students about history. It was really interesting to get to look through so many great resources and websites and find the ones that really stuck out to us. The four main categories were Civics and government; Personal finance and Economy; Geography, and lastly History. The resources we picked had to showcase different perspectives and encourage critical thinking of both us as the teacher and our students.

This project was a lot of fun to do and I learned more than I was expecting about how to not only pick resources that I think students would get the most out of but also about history. I found myself looking through the websites and reading/listening to the information they were sharing. The resources I picked are all interactive and have text as well as videos and games. I picked resources like this because I learn best when I am not only reading but listening and applying the information. By having different ways for students to learn all types of learners can benefit from these critical thinking artifacts and succeed in my classroom.
